HELLO, MY NAME IS ROXANNE

GRAPHIC ARTIST AND DESIGNER

I am a versatile Multimedia and Graphic Designer with a passion for transforming complex briefs into engaging visual narratives. For the past two years, I have served as the sole Graphic Artist for What Now - New Zealand’s iconic children’s television show. In this high-pressure, tight turnaround environment, I manage the full creative lifecycle for both digital and physical assets, ranging from dynamic on-screen motion graphics to large-scale print projects and web design.

My design philosophy is built on a foundation of diverse experiences within the design industry. My background includes serving as a Junior Designer at a fast-paced advertising agency and collaborating as a freelance designer for international tech companies. These roles, combined with a Bachelors in Design (Audio-Visual), have shaped me into a highly efficient, adaptable, and technically proficient creator.

I thrive on the challenge of working across multiple platforms and mediums. Whether I am crafting a brand's visual identity, compositing or creating engaging motion graphics my goal is always to deliver work that is both visually striking and consistent with the brand.

I take great pride in the projects featured here, and I hope that you enjoy looking through them.

I have been a multimedia designer for the last five years and have worked as a graphic artist, junior designer, self-employed contractor and as a graphic and motion designer. My degree focused on creating video and production related content but also covered graphic design. I have a variety of industry experience which makes me a very versatile designer. I am currently the sole designer at WhatNow the children's television show, creating motion graphics for on screen segments, social media posts, maintaining branding across all platforms and prop related graphics. In the past I have created video training content for a construction training company in Australia, application demonstration videos for multiple tech companies and training content for the New Zealand Defence Force. I enjoy taking complex ideas and turning them into easy to digest content - whatever form that takes.

Developing my skillset and remaining current is important to me. In 2022 I took a UX/UI course to improve my range of design and aid in my work with multiple SaaS companies. This has given me a good understanding of designing for deferent platforms and formats. This has recently come in handy while I assisted in redesigning the website for What Now - WhatNow.TV

ABOUT ME? PERSONALLY?

I enjoy the great outdoors, always looking for time to go walking, tramping or camping. I have made New Zealand my permanent home over the last four years and love the easy access to the stunning views, challenging walks and good times.

I love playing games, entertaining and cooking/baking. All in all, I love observing life - through nature and people. I hope to reflect this in my design work.
